Soul Bind: Overpowered in PvE
I predict you won't be seeing much of "LFG SS" if word about this technique gets out.
Soul Bind can PERMANENTLY keep ANY enemy knocked down.
For 5-17 seconds, target foe attacks 30% slower than normal. If that foe becomes the target of a hex while attacking, that foe is knocked down. This is an elite skill.
The obvious combo potential here is, of course, Soul Bind + Parasitic Bond.
In PvE, all enemies, including Casters, will attack when available.
Henceforth, you can keep an enemy infinately knocked down by spamming Parasitic Bond.

How many PvE battles hinge around being able to keep a single target pinned down permanently? Few if any.
Thunderclap in the right build can keep a fairly large group of monsters pinned down to the ground indefinitely. Particularly if you have energy support (such as Blood Ritual/Blood is Power). Yet I've never heard of "LF Thunderclap Elementalist".
But that's just my opinion.

it'll be great in HoH on monks.
And that's where I'd bet it'll be used.

No, No my friend, your not thinking cruel enough.PB, while spammable, only heals you.But now add Wastrel's Worry to the mix?
Hex Spell. After 3 seconds, target foe takes (8...53) damage. Wastrel's Worry ends prematurely if that foe uses a skill. (Attrib: Domination Magic)
Can't use skills if your lounging around all the time...

PvE is all about Damage, thats why you see LFG SS Necro. The Large Mobs of PvE monsters go perfectly with SS to cause Massive AoE Damage...
What isn't so much a focus in PvE is disabling any one enemy. In the situations where you need something disrupted, you bring a ranger with interupts anyway, becuase they can do damage while interupting.
PvE is a totally different focus than PvP. In PvE its all about how effectively (how fast, and how big of dmg numbers) you kill the enemies. Disabling of an enemy is usually limited to some interupt spells that the ranger, and sometimes warrior, took with them. All other times you go in for the fastest easiest kills. Thats why Necros are always MM or SS today, Rangers are trappers in some areas, but mostly Barrage/Interupt nowadays, Eles are mostly Nukers, thats nothing new, Warriors have always been about the damage (except when the book trick was in effect), Assassins really only CAN deal dmg combos, Ritualist and Monk play healer for these dmg dealers alot (Most ritualists are communing spirters and restoration simply because channeling lacks the fast dmg dealing of other classses), and mesmers get no love in pve because they are support characters and disablers, and you dont really need any of that in pve in most areas.

All bosses can be knocked down even if their "type" cant. Like a giant boss would suffer KDs even though giants themselves are immune to them. While useful on bosses in pve this like Spoil Victor imo are not very useful vs. the majority of mobs. That is why SS will (again imo) continue to be the "best" of the elite necro curses.
They are all amazing in their proper spot though. If you can fight Shiro just once go there with Spoil Victor. Or maybe Ill try Soul Bind next time I need to go make some +5E weapons for guildies.

I've destroyed Shiro with Spoil Victor. If you go with henchmen they'll mob him. When he does his damage move that hits everyone twice he's basically dead. I've seen him do well over 600 damage to himself when hexed with Spoil Victor.
I've had less success with Soul Bind primarily because his attack rate is very high and he has hex removal. Even with a 30% slow I found it difficult to keep him on the ground.

Soul bind is not as good as you see.
Actually it is almost useless, because of "while attacking" stats.
For casters, it is worthless to knock them down while they are attacking, and you cant knock them down when they are using spells and skills.
For warriors, it is also useless because you cant knock them down when they are using healing signet.
As a result, you just knock down peolpe who is not worth for knocking down and cant kill any player and foe.

knocking down a warrior can be very useful, same with assasin, as they can hit 100+ easily on casters.
